i know i'm rubbish :( i'm at uni 3 days a week, and the rest of my days are spent either looking after the family, doing photoshoots (its nearly christmas so everyone wants one at the mo!) editing or doing college work.

i'm still here though, lurking ;)

this short animation made me cry my eyes out.

the S.O.P.H.I.E. foundation means a lot to me, as this senseless murder was commited just a few miles from where i live. last weekend i helped organise a charity tea-party where half the proceeds went to the foundation and Sophies mum Sylvia kindly attended. Unfortunately i had to miss the party (i had a tummy bug, gutted!) but by all accounts she is a wonderful woman who just wants to use her daughters death to educate and create tolerance for all.

Sophies boyfriend, who suffered terribly both physically and mentally from the horrific attack, is a member of dA, and, although he isnt very active, he IS a very talented artist. this portrait of Sophie was painted by him, please check it out:

Howdo! i'm Donna! feel free to use my name, i'm not one of those paranoid types ;)

i'm a photographer, i am a complete photography whore and will literally photograph anything, so my gallery is diverse and interesting, take a quick look! i'm fully self-taught, and have been a member of dA for over 7 years :faint: but when i joined i had never even considered taking photographs for art, i learnt everything i know from dA and the wonderous google-machine. true story!!

I'm a mum of 2 bea-YOU-tiful children, the awesomely gruesome Mia (8) who features in many of my horror photographs, and yes, she gets her gory nature from her mummy ;)
and the small but perfectly formed Ethan (1 year old!) who has the ability to make wombs weep on command :aww:

i have some awesome friends on here, some of who i have never met but love loads, others who have become fabulous real-life friends i adore, `pendlestock (my surrogate sister), ~TehSerendipity (my muse and very much missed, now shes moved to Oz :( ) and =small-onion (my kinda-sorta RL cousin!) to name but 3, and hopefully this year will see me meeting many more people i have talked to a squillion times in cyberspace :love:

i am always ALWAYS happy to impart advice on photography, life and the universe. i am also very good at sniffing out the latest dArama and rolling around in its dirty mess and getting its stink all over me. oh yes, i can be relied upon to provide the lulz. in fact, i think some of my watchers watch me for that very reason. why? because its a website, and as much as i love my friends and my art, it amuses me to see how much people consider it to be the be-all-and-end-all of life, like the opinion of someone 3000 miles away means so much to them.
